It claims to return a mileage figure of 80kmpl
Honda has taken the wraps off the 2022 Giorno scooter in Japan and it has received cosmetic updates for 2022. Here’s everything you should know about the retro Honda offering.
The Giorno retains its retro design elements, like the curvy body panels and a cute-looking front fascia housing the round halogen headlight flanked by bulb indicators. Honda has discontinued Giorno’s Deluxe model and will now offer the base variant only.

It gets a 50cc air-cooled 4-stroke engine that develops 4.5PS and 4.1Nm. While the power figures are lower than what most normal-sized scooters make, these seem enough to propel the Giorno across town, be it for grocery shopping or just a joyride.
Similar to the overall build, the Honda Giorno’s features list is pretty simple too. You get an analogue dial up front with a digital inset and a 12V USB charging port. As for the suspension setup, the Honda Giorno uses a conventional telescopic fork and twin rear springs. Meanwhile, the braking hardware comprises a front and rear drum brake setup.
Honda claims the Giorno can deliver 80kmpl. So theoretically, it should offer a commendable 350km of range from its 4.5-litre fuel tank. Besides, it weighs 81kg and has a seat height of 720mm.
While most of us would assume the Honda Giorno to be an affordable daily scooter, the price tag speaks a different story. It’s priced at JPY 2,09,000 (approximately Rs 1.34 lakh), a high asking price to pay for a 50cc scooter even if considering the economic differences between the countries. Additionally, the Honda Giorno is exclusive only to the Japanese market. That said, if you are open to spending the aforementioned amount, we recommend you check out the Yamaha Aerox 155.
