In typical Kawasaki fashion, the update is limited to new colours
Kawasaki India has done it again. After hiking prices earlier this month, the Japanese bikemaker has launched the Kawasaki 650 in two new colours in the guise of the MY22 model. Fortunately, the sports tourer sees no revision in its price tag of Rs 6.61 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The 2022 Kawasaki Ninja 650 is available in Robotic Pearl White and Lime Green shades. While the latter debuted in India last year, the former was introduced globally this year.

Kawasaki has made no changes to the mechanicals. The 2022 Ninja 650 continues to use the same tried-and-tested 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin motor making 68PS and 65Nm. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox, aided by a slip-and-assist clutch.
The 2022 Kawasaki Ninja 650 retains the new 4.3-inch full-colour TFT display with smartphone connectivity that debuted with the BS6 model. Even the braking and suspension hardware remain unchanged. The 2022 model continues to sport the Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tyres, but we would have loved to see something grippier. Why? Head to our road test review of the 2020 Ninja 650 to find out.
