After launching the updated Ninja 650 and the Z650, Kawasaki has now struck again with the 2022 Vulcan S for India. The updated Japanese cruiser has been launched in the country and here’s what it offers now.
For its latest iteration, the Vulcan S gets a new paint scheme called Metallic Matte Grey. It is draped in black and grey with green accents throughout, similar to the previous version with the red accents. Apart from that, everything else remains unaltered.

The 2022 Kawasaki Vulcan S sports the same butch design, and is powered by a BS6-compliant 649cc parallel-twin mill with the output rated at 61PS and 62.4Nm. It’s mated with a 6-speed gearbox.
The underpinnings too remain unchanged as the 2022 Vulcan S is sprung by a 41mm telescopic fork and an offset linked rear monoshock. Its braking hardware comprises a 300mm front and 250mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS as standard.
Kawasaki offers the 2022 Vulcan S at Rs 6,10,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). It’s the same price that the bike maker introduced during its recent price hike. Apart from the Kwacker cruiser, the Indian market only has the Benelli 502C priced at Rs 4.98 lakh, as an alternative. But, Honda too is aiming to enter the segment with the Rebel 500, in the near future. However, you also have the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 as much affordable options in the 650cc market.
