The new variant is more affordable than the spoked wheel variants currently offered
Kawasaki India took to the stage at India Bike Week 2023 to launch a new variant of their retro-roadster, the Kawasaki W175 dubbed ‘W175 street’. The new variant features alloy and a few cosmetic changes such as the addition of new colour schemes. The announcement comes after the manufacturer had taken to social media to drop a teaser hinting at the same.
The manufacturer has offered the W175 street variant in new two colour schemes and has priced both at Rs 1,35,000. This makes it Rs 12,000 cheaper than the Ebony variant and Rs 14,000 cheaper than the Candy Persimmon Red variant.
Customers can now choose between W175s with a more retro styling, spoke wheels and a signature W badge on the fuel tank or the new variant with modern styling and liveries, and the convenience of alloy wheels.
The new variant does not come with any performance upgrades and the changes are purely cosmetic, of course except the alloy wheels. The W175 comes with the same 177cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 13PS at 7500rpm and 13.3Nm at 6000rpm.
The Kawasaki W175 rivals the Yamaha FZ-X and is a more affordable alternative to the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and Bullet 350.
