The J-platform based Bullet 350 stays true to the original Bullet, but with a modern chassis and powertrain
The next-gen Royal Enfield Bullet 350 has been spotted testing in the country. This will be the company’s third motorcycle under the all-new J-platform. That said, Royal Enfield has got the design on point as it looks similar to the current generation Bullet 350. This isn’t a bad thing as Bullet enthusiasts are quite fond of how the bike looks.
Just like the current gen Royal Enfield Classic 350, the 2023 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 sports the iconic ‘Tiger Lamps’ along with a circular headlight -- all encased in a single cowl, it neatly flows into the forks, doubling up as fork covers. The fuel tank seems a little flatter, and unlike the Classic 350, this one does away with the tank grips. It also has the same tank cap as the current gen Bullet.
The handlebar is easy to reach, and this, coupled with the mid-set footpegs ensures upright ergonomics. Just like the current-gen Bullet, this one too features a contoured single-piece seat. The one in the test mule appears to be a premium accessory seat considering its stitchings and Royal Enfield branding. Instead of the oval side panels in the Classic, the nex-gen Bullet features a boxy unit to cover the throttle body. The rear features a simple grab rail, and the tail light is circular, similar to the current gen Classic.

The bike carries over the Classic 350’s new 349cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, counterbalanced powertrain. It will produce the same output figures as the Classic and the Royal Enfield Meteor 350: 20.4PS at 6,100rpm and 27Nm at 4,000rpm. Underpinnings have also been carried over, including the telescopic fork, twin rear shock absorbers, and disc brakes at both ends.

Expect Royal Enfield to launch the motorcycle in early 2023. It could be priced at around Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom). To give you a perspective, the current-gen Royal Enfield Bullet 350 costs Rs 1,82,189 (on-road Delhi). It will replace the UCE Bullet 350, making it the most affordable motorcycle in the Royal Enfield family. There are no natural rivals, but the more expensive Benelli Imperiale 400 comes close.
