Here is all that the upcoming ADV gets

The upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 LC was spotted testing in India, revealing interesting details. Just a couple of days ago, the bike was also spotted in the UK, check out our story here.

In terms of appearance, the upcoming Himalayan 450 LC adopts a rather different design language as opposed to the current model. It gets an all-new fuel tank and front brace, and it looks more dominant than the current model. The taillight on the ADV is integrated into the turn indicators, which look quite sleek.

Powering the Himalayan 450 will be a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which is a first for Royal Enfield. It is likely to make similar power and torque figures as its direct rival, the KTM 390 Adventure, which produces 43.5 PS and 37Nm.

In terms of underpinnings, the Himalayan 450 LC gets a double-cradle frame with a bolt-on subframe. This, too, is a first for the veteran bikemaker. Unlike the current model, the Himalayan 450 features a USD fork at front and a swingarm-mounted rear monoshock. It gets discs at both ends for braking and is likely to get dual channel ABS as standard. It rolls on the same 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke rims as the current model.

In the video, the test mule can be seen flaunting a big circular instrument cluster, which looks fully digital. We can expect to find more details about it closer to the launch.

We expect Royal Enfield to launch the Himalayan 450 LC by June 2023, with an estimated price tag of Rs 2.80 lakh. It will go up against the likes of KTM 390 Adventure and the upcoming Hero XPulse 400.
