The Apache RR 310 looks stunning and you will have fun on it. There’s just this 1 issue….
The 2024 TVS Apache RR 310 looks beautiful, has a lot of features, is friendly and is a lot smoother than the Apache RTR 310. But, it has one downside that might just make a lot of you consider other bikes instead. What are those, you may ask? Well, here’s all about the new RR 310:
It Looks Smashing!
It’s not just the pictures, the 2024 TVS Apache RR 310 looks just as good, if not better, in person. The pointier headlight, winglets and even the transparent clutch cover (which looks stunning!) come together to make the bike look smashing. The RR 310 is easily the best looking bike in its class. As for the colours, while the red obviously looks very attractive, we found even the Bomber Grey paint scheme to be a lot better in person.
But as stunning as they look, some of the aesthetics might cause long-term ownership issues as well. For starters, the winglets obviously stick out a bit and they’re quite prone to breaking off when filtering through traffic or even if someone messes around with it when you’ve parked it in public. The winglets are also attached to the fairing, so them breaking off could cause damage to the fairing too. Even breaking the transparent clutch cover could be an issue since the spare parts and availability for TVS bikes and scooters has been a pain point for owners.
Is Still Just As Friendly To Ride

The previous-gen Apache RR 310 was an easy bike to ride and the same sweet characteristics have carried forward to the new one as well. Despite it making more power, the engine’s power delivery is quite linear and even at the top of its revs, it doesn’t catapult ahead in a manner that’s scary for beginners, like say the KTM RC 390. What really impressed me was how well the vibrations were contained. The RTR 310 was a very vibey bike, but the RR 310 (despite making more power), is a lot less vibey and whatever little vibrations you feel, they are definitely not annoying.
Another thing that beginners will love are the Michelin Road 5 tyres. They have excellent grip levels and be it riding hard on a race track or navigating through rainy city roads, they will inspire a lot of confidence and you will have a lot of fun on them.
Even in terms of tractability, you can be in a gear higher and the bike will chug along just fine. While you will need to downshift to get that drive to make overtakes, riding in a gear higher in a relaxed manner should be fine for the city as well. Talking about city rideability, we found the on and off throttle transitions in Track and Sport mode a bit jerky. And if they were jerky on the track, they might feel even more so in the city. The throttle jerkiness had been an issue with the previous RR 310’s Sport and Track modes too and it seems like that hasn’t been changed.
Has A Brilliant Quickshifter!
The RR 310 now also gets a quickshifter from the Apache RTR 310 and it’s so good we thought it deserved its own section. Be it clutchless upshifts or downshifts, at high or low speeds, this quickshifter is brilliant. And again, it’s good in a very beginner-friendly way. It’s not as sensitive as say the new KTM 390 Duke’s quickshifter and even someone who has never used a quickshifter will enjoy using this one.
Is Reasonably Comfortable

As sporty as it looks, the Apache RR 310’s riding posture is just as friendly too. The handlebar is a bit high and footpegs reasonably low for a sportsbike. Even as a 6 feet tall rider, I found myself quite comfortable on the bike and it didn’t feel cramped. As for the brakes, they too worked fine and I had no complaints with it.
Is Loaded With Features
The Apache RR 310 now gets even more features with its latest update. It now gets cruise control and traction control, both with cornering functionalities too, and they worked quite well. The traction control’s intervention is seamless, while setting up cruise control is quite easy too. The best thing is that you can change gears while cruise control is on and it’s lean-sensitive, meaning if you lean the bike over, it’ll slow down the cruising speeds automatically, and bring it back to the preset one when you lift it over. More than a feature, the latter also acts as an extra layer of safety. Both things worked quite well when we tested it out, so no complaints there too.
But…
2024 TVS Apache RR 310 Variant |
Price (Ex-showroom Delhi) |
Base Variant Without Quickshifter |
Rs 2,75,000 |
Base Variant With Quickshifter |
Rs 2,92,000 |
Bomber Grey Colour |
Rs 2,97,000 |
The Apache RR 310’s biggest con has to be its price. For Rs 2.75 lakh, you get the base variant. Even for just the quickshifter, you have to pay Rs 17,000 above the base variant. Even for the Bomber Grey colour you’ve to shell out an additional Rs 5,000. And that isn’t counting the various packs on offer. Have a look below:
2024 TVS Apache RR 310 Kit Prices |
What They Offer |
Race Replica Graphics - Rs 7,000 |
|
Dynamic Kit - Rs 18,000 |
|
Dynamic Pro Kit - Rs 16,000 |
|
So a lot of the good features we talked about earlier are a part of the above packs. In fact, if you decide to fully kit out your Bomber Grey colour with all the packs, the bike will cost a whopping Rs 3.31 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), which more than the KTM RC 390 (Rs 3,21,173, ex-showroom Delhi), a bike that’s more powerful, a lot more exciting, and gets a lot of these features as standard.
Should You Buy The TVS Apache RR 310?
The new Apache RR 310 is pricey, let’s get that out of the way. But apart from that, it’s an easy-going but very capable sportsbike that you will have a lot of fun on. So if budget isn’t an issue and you want something easy to commute on, the RR 310 makes for a good choice in this segment.
