We have some surprising inclusions and exclusions this time around
Buyers who opt for a 150-200cc bike are the ones who are looking for a perfect blend between performance and fuel efficiency. This segment might not be as big as the commuter, but there are quite some bikes that have gathered good sales. Here’s a look at which bikes in this segment sold the most last month:

Unsurprisingly, the TVS Apache range has tallied the highest sales in this segment. Please note the series here includes the TVS Apache RTR 160, Apache RTR 160 4V, Apache RTR 180 and the Apache RTR 200 4V. The overall year-on-year (YoY) sales for the Apache series too, has gone up by a healthy 11.13 percent. In a surprising turn of events, the Honda Unicorn has beaten the Pulsar series to clinch the second spot and even managed to register an incredible 94 percent YoY growth.
This is particularly surprising considering that the age-old Unicorn has beaten the Pulsar range, which recently witnessed the launch of an all-new Pulsar P150. Additionally, the Pulsar series in this list also includes the Pulsar P150, Pulsar 150, Pulsar N160, Pulsar NS160, Pulsar NS200 and the Pulsar RS200. What will make Bajaj happy is the fact that these bikes combined to register a massive 220 percent YoY increase in sales. But you know what could make Bajaj even happier? February and March 2023, because of the return of a particular iconic Bajaj bike. This is the one we’re talking about.

After the Pulsar, came the two sportiest Yamaha bikes we have in India. The MT-15 V2.0 came fourth by selling 8,738 units. Now yes, the fact that only 17 bikes were sold in January 2022 does stand out here, but only 80 units of the streetfighter were manufactured and 160 were imported, hinting at an inventory clearance as the updated bike was launched a few months later. The R15 series, consisting of the R15S and the R15 V4, sold a total of 7,925 units. The MT-15’s dual-channel ABS and the R15’s new TFT console should help improve both the bikes’ sales in the coming months. What's most interesting is that there are no Gixxers on this list.
