An exciting week with launches and sneak peeks galore

The second-last week of April 2023 was no less intense than the ones before it, starting off with the launch of the much-anticipated KTM 390 Adventure X, and rounding off with the Hero Passion Plus making a surprise reappearance. So here’s a quick muster of the important updates in the two-wheeler world this week:

KTM 390 Adventure X unleashed, makes entire range OBD2-compliant

 

KTM kicked off proceedings by launching the cheaper and simpler 390 Adventure X. Here’s all that differentiates it from the standard KTM 390 Adventure, and how it compares with its rivals. Besides, the Austrian major also gave its entire lineup the required tech update, in keeping with the BS6 version 2 norms.

Triumph-Bajaj Scrambler,  Hero Karizma XMR 210, and USD fork-equipped Xtreme 200R spotted

We’ve got the clearest view yet of  the upcoming Bajaj-Triumph Scrambler, from the hardware on offer, to the features it packs. Moreover, head honcha Rajiv Bajaj has put all rumours to rest, by announcing the exact date for the global launch of the Bajaj-Triumph bikes.

Moreover, along with the surprise we got from the Karizma XMR, we caught a sneak peek of the Hero Xtreme 200R with a USD fork and redesigned visuals, among other things.

Hero Passion Plus Reborn


After a gap of close to three years, Hero has brought back the Passion Plus with some subtle visual updates, though the colour scheme and decals stay much the same. 

Harley X500 Launched In China


The bigger sibling to the Harley-Davidson X350, named the X500, has been unveiled in China. Despite the American name, though, it’s essentially a rebadged Benelli Leoncino 500. Here’s how it matches up to the Royal Enfield Interceptor, the rival it comes closest in terms of specs with.

Ather 450X’ Base variant to get charging update

Ather recently launched a base-spec 450X without the Pro Pack, and though we love the lower entry price, the extremely long charging times left us disappointed. But now, Ather seems to be planning a workaround, set to be unveiled soon.
