50 Lakh Platina Sold; Bajaj offers Rs. 1000 discount to Celebrate

The home grown two wheeler manufacturer, Bajaj Auto Limited (BAL) has achieved the milestone of selling 50 lakh Platina. The company is celebrating the occasion by giving a discount of Rs. 1,000 on the bike and the discounted price starts from Rs. 37,109 (ex-showroom, Jaipur for spoke wheel variant) only. Bajaj Auto Finance is also offering attractive finance scheme with the bike by offering a minimum down payment of Rs. 5,555.

Bajaj Platina is the most affordable motorcycle in the company's current portfolio and comes with a very impressive appearance compared to the other bikes in this price range. Powered by a 99.27cc, 4-stroke engine, it belts out 8.1bhp of maximum power at 7,500rpm along with a peak torque of 8.05Nm at just 4,500rpm. Using Capacitive Discharge Ignition (CDI) with III generation Throttle Response Ignition Control System (TRICS), it claims to return an outstanding mileage upto 90kmpl.

With the All-Black theme used in the engine, alloy wheels, suspension and exhaust, Platina 100 looks sportier. The bike gets a long and well cushioned seat with telescopic forks at the front, while 5-step adjustable SNS (Spring iN Suspension) at the rear to enhance the comfort level. Larger 1275mm wheel base helps to improve stability and 130mm/110mm front/rear drum brakes are sufficient to control the bike. With sporty graphics, dual colour rear suspension and chrome heat shield on muffler, it is available in three colour options- Black, Black Maroon and Flame Red.
