Aftermarket Tubeless Spoke Wheels Now Available For Royal Enfield Himalayan

They are a bit pricey, but should be worth it for those who really love to take their Himalayans to unexplored places

The Royal Enfield Himalayan has always been an all-round capable off-roader with its grunty engine and a very attractive price tag. But, this capable ADV has always been available with tubed tyres and spoked wheels, which means repair work in case of a puncture is always a painful experience. 

But Bangalore-based Dismotech has a solution as it is offering tubeless spoke-wheels for the Royal Enfield Himalayan. Right now, they are only offering a 17-inch rear wheel and the aluminium forged rim comes with fully assembled nipples, hubs and spokes. And Dismotech is also coming up with a front tubeless spoke wheel as well soon.

The 17-inch rim along with the mounting kit costs Rs 20,999. While it may initially seem like a significant investment for a single wheel, the benefits of having tubeless wheels while off-roading should make it a worthwhile purchase to the more hardcore of off-road enthusaists.

It would be advisable for Himalayan owners to check whether replacing the wheel would void the warranty. However, if the warranty has already expired, obtaining these tubeless spoke wheels should not pose any issues. A wise approach would be to swap the wheel before taking the bike to the service center and then switch back to the tubeless one afterwards, if your bike is new and still in warranty, that is.

Interestingly, Royal Enfield is preparing to launch the Himalayan 450 in the upcoming months, which promises even better performance and off-road capabilities.
