The Jawa 42 FJ is the latest launch from the Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles. The neo-retro roadster joins the manufacturer’s ‘42 Life’ line-up along with the Jawa 42 and 42 Bobber. The bike comes in four different variants based on the colours:
Jawa 42 FJ Aurora Green Matte Spoke
The Jawa 42 FJ Aurora Green Matte spoke is the entry-level variant. It comes with spoke wheels wrapped with tube tyres and is priced at Rs 1,99,142 (ex-showroom Delhi). The variant comes with a dual-tone dark green and silver colours finished in matte.
Jawa 42 FJ Aurora Green Matte Alloy
The 42 FJ Aurora Green Matte alloy wheel variant with tubeless tyres costs Rs 11,000 more than the spoke wheel variant at Rs 2,10,142 (ex-showroom Delhi). It also gets the same paint scheme as the spoke wheel variant.
Jawa 42 FJ Cosmo Blue Matte & Mystique Copper
The Jawa 42 FJ Cosmo Blue Matte & Mystique Copper colour variants are available with alloy wheels as standard. Both these colours cost the same at Rs 2,15,142 (ex-showroom Delhi). The Cosmo Blue Matte gets dual-tone royal blue and silver shades, and the Mystique Copper has a brown and silver colour dual-tone paint scheme. Both sport a matte finish.
Jawa 42 FJ Deep Black Matte Black Clad & Deep Black Matte Red Clad
The 42 FJ in Deep Black Matte Black Clad and Deep Black Matte Red Clad variants are the top-of-the-line variants. They are also equipped with alloys as standard and are priced at Rs 2,20,142 (ex-showroom Delhi). The Deep Black Matte Black Clad features a single-tone all-black paint scheme with grey graphics all around. The Deep Black Matte Red Clad sports a dual-tone paint scheme as well. The fuel tank gets black as the base colour and red as the secondary colour on both sides. The rest of the bike is finished in an all-black paint scheme.
The all-new Jawa 42 FJ shares its 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder Alpha2 engine from the Jawa 350. However, the engine on the Jawa 42 FJ, is significantly more powerful: at 29.2PS and 29.6Nm, (which is 6.7PS and 1.4Nm more than the Jawa 350). It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch.
The Jawa 42 FJ goes up against other sub-500cc roadsters including the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, Royal Enfield Classic 350, Honda H’ness CB350, CB350 RS & the Hero Mavrick 440.
