Kawasaki’s 210hp supercharged ballistic missile - the Ninja H2 will now come with a slipper-assist clutch, the company recently revealed this at the 44th Tokyo Motor Show. Besides this, the bike will also feature a retuned ECU that the manufacturer has altered for better engine performance. We recently also reported that Kawasaki has plans to bring the 2016 Ninja H2 in a new Mirror coated spark black paint, which the company flaunts in the bike’s official video.
Regarding this, Kawasaki said in a press release, “Both models would remain in limited production for the 2016 season with a new colour and paint finish plus the adoption of an assist and slipper clutch for the Ninja H2 as well as upgrades to the ECU settings for both machines.”
What is a Slipper-Assist Clutch?
A slipper clutch helps in preventing rear wheel lockups in case of aggressive downshifts, hence proving highly beneficial and lifesaving. Furthermore, the assist makes lever operation easy due to which it demands less effort. Kawasaki released a new supercharged concept also at the Tokyo Motor Show, which it names as Spirit Charger.
Kawasaki Ninja H2 comes powered by a 998cc, liquid-cooled supercharged four-stroke engine that comes coupled to a six-speed dog ring transmission setup. The mighty power plant sends 207.1bhp of maximum power and 133.5Nm of peak torque to the rear wheel. This enables the beast hit a top speed of 300kmph, which is electronically restricted to make it road legal. Other impressive features include Kawasaki launch control, star pattern alloy wheels, quick shifter, intelligent ABS and much more.
