At Auto Expo UK bike-maker Triumph enters India with 7 models

With every passing day, the ongoing Auto Expo 2012 is creating new history with wide array of new launches coming up after every 30 minutes from legendary and renowned companies. It is reported that legendary British manufacturing company Triumph also stepped in war of unveiling new vehicles with its brigade of 7 variants which are priced with price tag varying from Rs 5.5 lakh to Rs 22 lakh. Addressing about Triumph’s entry in Auto Expo 2012, Mr. Ashish Joshi, Managing Director, Triumph Motorcycles India said, that 2012 is going to be very critical year for Triumph bikes as company is exploring its boundary in global world followed by its entry in Indian two wheeler market, which at present is fastest growing two wheeler market globally.
Mr. Joshi further added that variants unveiled during Auto Expo exhibit the best illustration of British engineering with unique design and looks. It is anticipated that entrance of Triumph Motorcycles will be a tough contender for Harley Davidson bikes which have also made their debut in Indian bike market. The models unveiled till now in the Auto Expo include Troumph Bonneville, Tiger 800XC, Street Triple and Triumph Rocket III Roadster. Mr. Joshi further added that according to market survey conducted by company it was felt that Indian bike market has vast opportunities to explore.
According to Mr. Joshi it was right time for Triumph Motorcycles in Indian bike market especially when Indian bike riders are preferring high powered superbikes for ride. According to reports company will be establishing 3 to 4 dealers in major cities which will start selling these bikes during the festive season starting from October 2012. According to reports company will be establishing it’s assembly unit in India, which is anticipated to start operating from March this year. It is assumed that that plant will have capacity of manufacturing 5 to 10 bikes daily. It is also anticipated that dealership of Triumph will also increase between 10 to 14 by 2012.
