The brand has also released a completely revamped app with the OTA update
Off late, Ather Energy seems to be hard at work. Following its expansion to Jaipur, Pune, Ahmedabad and Mumbai this year, the brand has now begun its retail operations in Delhi. Ather has now released a revamped mobile app and its 13th OTA (over-the-air) update. Called the Atherstack Atom, this update brings Bluetooth music and call control to the Ather 450X.
Once the smartphone is paired with the e-scooter, a small window pops on the 7-inch touchscreen display. The music window displays the track title and allows the rider to play/pause or jump to the previous or next track. As for the calls, the rider can accept or reject them using the touchscreen dashboard. For safety, the touchscreen functionality works only when the e-scooter is at a standstill, and once on the move you can toggle using a combination of switches on the handlebar.
Complementing this OTA update is the completely new mobile app, which the brand has developed from scratch. It has a revamped design and with the contextual home page, will provide easy access to information.

Ather has been constantly working on adding new features and improving its electric scooter. After introducing ‘guide me home’ lights, real-time efficiency indicator and new riding modes, the brand is now working on adding a tyre pressure monitor system to the 450X.
With Ather now commencing sales in Delhi, the Bengaluru-based start-up delivered its first Ather 450X in the national capital to Dr. Pawan Mujal, chairman and CEO of Hero MotoCorp. That said, the brand hasn’t divulged any details of the location of its Delhi showroom yet but is likely to announce that in the coming weeks.
