Ather Energy To Set Up 500 Charging Stations Within Six Months

The startup has set up 200 Ather Grids in the last three years

Ather Energy has been on a rapid expansion spree ever since it entered the market. The Bengaluru-based startup is now not only operational in over 24 cities, but has been setting up its Ather Grid charging stations at an equally rapid pace. In fact, the brand is aiming to install 500 Ather Grids by the end of March 2022.

To achieve this, Ather Energy has been installing 35-40 charging stations each month. The company has already installed over 200 units in different cities. Tarun Mehta, CEO and co-founder of Ather Energy, also mentioned that new generation chargers with better outputs are under development. This news comes a month after Ather Energy announced that it will share its proprietary fast-charging connector with other EV brands to help build a sustainable charging infrastructure for the country.

Ather Energy has set up its charging stations at public places like malls, restaurants, cafes and gyms. It has signed an MoU with partners like Park+ (known for their parking solutions and fastag), Chennai’s VR Mall, PPZ Mall Management, outlets like Coffee Day, Blue Tokai, Chai Kings, which has given Ather access to over 250 locations.
