As Yamaha is already geared up for the upcoming Auto Expo, it might surprise us with its another model, the sharp looking M-Slaz. This bike is expected to join its other siblings at the Yamaha counter in the expo. If reports are to be believed, the Japanese manufacturer could bring the M-Slaz in 200cc displacement category. Presently, the 150cc M-Slaz is being sold in Thailand carrying the hardware's of YZF-R15 V 2.0 along with the delta box framing.

In India, Yamaha is expected to offer the machine with a higher displacement of 200cc to fill the gap between R15 and R3 and the Indian version could be named MT instead of M-Slaz. The sharp looking machine is expected to be manufactured in the country itself and its fully faired version is also believed to be under development.

The bike was first launched in Thailand in December last year and the Thai model produces a maximum power of 16.76bhp and a peak torque of 15Nm, almost similar to the R15. The bike is slightly more updated from the R15, as it has USD front forks, thicker rubber and thorny styling. In Thailand, the bike is priced at 89,500 Thai Baht, which is almost Rs.1,69,910. The company has not come up with the Indian pricing yet, but it is expected to be priced below Rs. 1.50 lac.

The upcoming Auto Expo is all set to showcase the new entries for the Indian market with Yamaha bringing up its MT-03 along with the expected MT-09 and MT-10. Till the time we get any confirmation on the rumours making round, stay tuned with the latest updates on the upcoming event as BikeDekho team is all geared to serve you with the tip to toe information of this largest automobile event in the country.
