Bajaj Auto has launched the new Chetak Blue 3202 in India, at a price of Rs 1,15,018 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). This new variant is an updated iteration of the Bajaj Chetak Urbane variant, but with a new name and updated battery cells, both at a lower cost.
Compared to the older Urbane variant, which was priced from Rs 1,23,319 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), the Bajaj Chetak Blue 3202 is Rs 8,301 cheaper.
It now has a claimed range of 137km from its 3.2kWh battery. While the battery remains the same as before, the increased range (from 127km in Urbane) is because of the newer batteries.
Apart from that, the scooter remains unchanged. The design is the same as before as well.
It is powered by a 4.2kW motor which gives it a claimed top speed of 73kmph. In terms of underpinnings, the Chetak Blue 3202 is suspended on a trailing link front suspension and a monoshock. It rolls on 12-inch alloys with MRF Zapper tyres and braking duties are handled by drums at both ends.
In terms of features, the Standard variant gets a round colour LCD instrument console athat displays information such as speed, battery level, along with trip and odometer readouts.
The Standard variant gets one riding mode: (Eco) and limited smartphone connectivity. The TecPac variant on the other hand has a colour TFT display and offers 2 riding modes: Eco and Sport, along with a reverse mode and hill- hold assist. This variant also offers full smartphone connectivity and features such as call/SMS alerts and turn-by-turn navigation.
The Bajaj Chetak 3202 goes up against other electric scooters in the market such as the TVS iQube, Ather Rizta and the Ola S1 Air.
