Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG Bike: How Many People Can It Fit?

Bajaj has launched the Freedom 125 CNG bike in India, with prices starting at Rs 95,000 (ex-showroom). The bike comes with a unique design. It gets an LED headlight, a braced handlebar, and a small fuel tank. One of the highlights of the bike is its long single-piece seat which extends towards the front and partially overlaps the tank. But how exactly long is it in real life? Let’s find out:

The Bajaj Freedom 125: How Long Is Its Seat?

The Bajaj Freedom 125 has the longest seat in its segment at 785mm and has a seat height of 825mm. It comes with a quilted design that seems to make it more comfortable than a plain seat. But all that aside, we are going to find out how long it really is in the real world.

First things first, we don’t endorse seating more than two people on a bike or scooter, and this test of “How many people can sit on the Freedom 125’s long seat?” is just for the reference of how long the seat is. That said, we got the bike for testing and were able to comfortably seat 3 people on the seat. On the other hand, it can accommodate 4 skinny guys as well.

What Is The Practical Use Of The Long Seat?

The Bajaj Freedom 125’s long seat has many practical uses as well. People often travel on bikes with a pillion and luggage, which could be anything from a normal laptop bag to larger sacks too. And given that usually bikes don’t have storage spaces like scooters, a large seat would help people store such bags in between the rider and the pillion. All of this while ensuring that the rider isn’t seated too close to the tank while the pillion isn’t barely hanging onto the seat because of the sheer lack of space. The length of the seat even means you can tie up things using a bungee cord or a rope.

To sum it up, there are definitely other uses to a long seat than just taking 3-4 people on it. As for the Freedom 125 itself, it comes equipped with a 125cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine, compatible with both CNG and petrol. In CNG mode, it produces a peak output of 9.5PS and 9.7Nm. It is likely to be paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The Freedom 125 has a top speed of 90.5kmph (CNG) and 93.4kmph (petrol).

It has a 2kg primary CNG tank and a 2-litre petrol tank for the limp home feature, which can be used when the bike runs out of CNG. Bajaj promises a mileage of 102km per kg on CNG and 65km per litre on petrol, providing a combined range of about 330km.

The Bajaj Freedom 125 goes up against other 125cc bikes like Honda Shine 125, Hero Glamour, Bajaj Pulsar 125, Hero Xtreme 125R and TVS Raider 125.
