Bajaj-KTM to roll out new bikes in FY12

India's largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Bajaj Auto with its joint venture Australian two-wheeler manufacturer KTM Power-Sports AG, plans to roll out new bikes in India in the Financial year 2012. The company had invested 20 million euros to grow its market stake with KTM at 35.7 percent from 31.9 percent. S Sridhar, CEO,Bajaj Auto said, "We will first launch in Europe and than in the Indian auto market. Bajaj-KTM jointly developed products to be assembled in Bajaj's Chakan plant in Pune and the bikes will be marketed under the KTM brand in India. The new bikes will be available around Rs. 1 lakh. Bajaj Auto has recently launched a new version of Bajaj Discover embedded with 150cc displacement in India. On the other hand, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has also introduced a new modified version of Honda Unicorn, called Honda CB Dazzler. Apart from that launch, Indian bike lover will see more launches in India that includes, Honda VFR 1200F, Yamaha SZ and Yamaha YZF R125.
