Bajaj has launched the Pulsar 125 Neon at Rs 64,000 (drum) at Rs 66,618 (disc) (ex-showroom Delhi). That makes the smallest Pulsar Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,000 more affordable than the larger Pulsar 150 Neon. So what do you get and what do you miss out on this new Pulsar 125.? You's be hardpressed to distinguish between the Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 125. Both feature identical bodywork. However, the Pulsar 125 is also available in a matte grey paintjob with blue accents.

Like the larger Pulsars, the Pulsar 125 gets a semi-digital instrument console as well as clip-on handlebars. The console gets orange backlighting and includes a fuel gauge, odometer, two trip meters and a side stand indicator

It gets a tank pad as well. Fuel tank capacity is 11.5-litres.

The flat one-piece seat gets contrast stitching that’s matched to the grab rail colour.

The exhaust and rear tyre hugger come from the Pulsar 150.

Powering the Pulsar 125 is a 124.4cc air-cooled motor. It makes 12PS at 8,500rpm and 11Nm at 6,500rpm. Thats 1PS more than the Discover 125. It gets a 5-speed gearbox.

You have conventional telescopic forks at the front. Braking is via a front 240mm disc/170mm drum and 130mm rear drum. Both variants get combined braking system.

While the Pulsar 150 gets MRF Zappers, the Pulsar 125 gets lower-spec Eurogrip tyres. Tyre sizes are 80/100-17 at the front and 100/90-17 at the rear.
