The 180F doesn’t feature anywhere on the company website
Last week, Bajaj launched the 2021 Pulsar 180 in India. Following the launch of the naked bike, the Pulsar 180F model was removed from the brand’s official website. So has Bajaj discontinued the Pulsar 180F? Quite evidently.
At around Rs 1.14 lakh, the Pulsar 180F was asking for a bit too much. Moreover, for just Rs 11,000 more, buyers could get the iconic Pulsar 220F. So, the Pulsar 180F wasn’t exactly a value-for-money proposition, neither did it enjoy similar success as its elder sibling.
But as mentioned, the naked Pulsar 180 is back, and it retains the same engine and underpinnings as those of the 180F. It’s powered by a BS6-compliant 178.6cc SOHC air-cooled motor making 17.2PS and 14.52Nm. The bike is suspended on a telescopic front fork and a pair of 5-step adjustable gas-charged rear shocks. Braking duties are taken care of by a 280mm front and a 230mm rear disc setup. Single-channel ABS is standard.

While the sporty appearance does go for a toss, the commuter-oriented Pulsar 180 is priced at Rs 1,07,904, which means you save Rs 6,611 over the Pulsar 180F. The Pulsar 180 competes against the TVS Apache RTR 180 2V that’s surely ageing with dignity.
