We reported some time back that Bajaj Auto may come up with a new Pulsar series bike as a counterpart of upcoming KTM 390. And now it is finally happening, Mr Rajiv Bajaj, the Managing Director of Bajaj Auto has announced that the Indian motorcycle maker will launch an all new Pulsar in 2013 and most probably, it will be the much speculated Bajaj Pulsar 375 cc. As we had mentioned earlier, the Pulsar 375 cc just would be a Indian counter part of KTM Duke 390, just like Pulsar 200 NS, which has been launched along with KTM Duke 200, earlier this year. This all-new motorcycle is expected to debut sometime in the middle of 2013, after Bajaj launches the KTM Duke 390 in India.
The Duke 390 is expected to be unveiled at upcoming Milan Motorcycle Show, 2012 in November and the bike could have an Indian launch as early as March 2013. We are expecting the Pulsar 375 to launch few months later, as it will be sharing a plenty of parts with the Duke 390, however at a much cheaper price tag. Trends suggest that the Duke 390 might have a Rs. 2 lakh price tag but, we at BikeDekho expect Bajaj Pulsar 375 to cost somewhere around Rs. 1.4-1.5 lakh.
So, at this price 2013 Bajaj Pulsar 375, which promises to be the most powerful Pulsar ever built, will be reasonable to recreate the dynamics of 350cc and above segment. As per the word on the street, KTM Duke 390 will be heavily based on Duke 200 model and Bajaj can also follow the same mechanism.
