Bajaj to launch 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 650R in India at Rs 5 lakh

Bajaj Auto had launched the Kawasaki Ninja 650R earlier this year at a price of Rd 4.68 lakhs. It has proved to be highly successful in the market surpassing the sales of its competitor Hyosung GT650R. With Rs 40, 000 cheaper than Hyosung GT 650R, the Kawasaki Ninja 650R has been well acclaimed across the country. Observing the success, the two-wheeler manufacturer envisages launching the revamped version in 2012 with Rs 20,000 raise in the price.

The 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 650R is expected to come with quite a few modifications including the new conspicious front end, new fuel tank, redesigned seat and new tail end. The twin spar frame is made more tougher,which supports the bike to endure the high power output, runs from the steering head to the swingarm enclosing the motor with its twin beams. The windscreen in the new addition to the bike apart from the overall look that has been improved to appeal the consumers. 

However, the 2012 Kawasaki 650R will come with the same 650cc engine twin engine to offer a power output of 74 bhp and 60.5 Nm torque. The Bajaj engineers are putting in their best efforts to turn around the low and mid range power and torque outputs. With the numerous appreciable features being included in the new bike, the price is likely to increase by Rs 20,000 - Rs 40,000. The revamped bike is being manufactured at the Bajaj's Chakan plant off Pune. Baja Auto, the leading two-wheeler manufacturer of the country as a part of the successful completion of a decade long reign of its flagship model Bajaj Pulsar is going to introduce the new Pulsar towards the end of this year, followed by the launch of Bajaj KTM Duke 200.
