Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL) is going to organise "The Invincible Ride" with the Western Naval Command, Indian Navy and its newly introduced brand- "V" on Martyr’s Day, 23rd March. The ride will be flagged off from Kohli Stadium in Navy Nagar area of Colaba, Mumbai at 10:30 am and Indian Navy officers will ride the newly launched Bajaj V15 to Chattrapati Shivaji’s 23 forts across the state of Maharashtra.
The Bajaj V 15 shares a part of the metal from the Indian war hero- the INS Vikrant on its fuel tank. The INS Vikrant was the first aircraft carrier of our country and was decommissioned in late 2014. Bajaj purchased the dismantled scrap and decided to revive its legacy. The company melted the pieces of metal that came from the Indian war hero and blended it with the metal that they used to make the fuel tank of their new motorcycle and named it "V".
Although Bajaj V15 is a commuter motorcycle, the company has given the bike a premium styling because of the name that it is associated with. Keeping true to the bike’s design and spirit, even the Bajaj branding has been dropped off from the tank. If there is a place where you will notice one, it would be on the engine crankcase. It uses an all new 149.5cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, DTS-i engine that has been tuned to deliver a good low and mid range torque. The motor produces 11.8bhp of power and delivers a peak torque of 13Nm. Key features of the motorcycle include an ergonomic design, classy fuel tank, removable pillion seat cowl, a nice sounding exhaust note, front disc brake and classic LED tail lamp. Now, Bajaj is offering all these features in an attractive package with a very impressive price tag of just Rs. 61,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
