Home-grown electric manufacturer Blacksmith, the same folks responsible for the peculiar-looking B2 electric bike, have teased an all-new electric scooter called the B3. And just like the motorcycle, we aren't too sure about this scooter's styling, but it might still draw attention in the real world with its road presence.

With only two really dark images available on the website, there isn’t much to talk about aside from what’s given in the spec sheet. But what we can tell you is that the B3 electric scooter features LED lights at the front and back, a single flat seat, a tall windscreen and a backrest for added convenience. Aside from this, the scooter also comes with a full-digital instrument console with turn-by-turn navigation, which seems to be a norm in electric scooters these days.

Powering this massive scooter is a 5kW electric motor which is capable of dishing out 19.7PS of power and 96Nm of torque. Additionally, the 72V lithium-ion battery pack that feeds power to the motor is the same unit found on the B2, says the company. Another notable feature of the e-scooter is that it has a claimed range of 120km and a top speed of 120kmph. Granted, these claimed figures sound impressive, but you also need to dial in the weight, which from the looks of it isn’t going to be trivial.

The brand has been tight-lipped about the price, however, considering the equipment, we could expect it to garner a price of a little over Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). This puts in on par with the Ather series of scooters. Will the actual product stay true to these power figures and renders? Only time will tell. Until then stay tuned to BikeDekho.
