BMW to Launch F650 GS in India

The big boys of car manufacturers, BMW, is now about to launch the macho F650 GS. BMW F650GS is another powerful machine from the manufacturing veterans, and is a rugged motorbike, that is designed for a long and hectic driving. The bike is going to be introduced in India only after tackling some of the most challenging routes throughout the globe. Although, the bike is currently priced at Rs. 9.99 lacs, it may go up to Rs. 12 lacs in the coming period.
The name F650 GS may ring a bell for a few as the name is pretty much on the same lines as Funduro which was released a while back when the company was working in collaboration with Hero. F650GS comes backed by the 800 cc engine that makes sure that the bike works with a power of 70 hp along with a torque of 75 Nm at 4500 rpm. The bike is also facilitated with the six-speed gear box transmission capability. The two-wheeler also comes with the facility of tyre pressure control system that calculates the tyre pressure automatically and sends signal to the driver if the pressure is low.
Currently, Navnit Motors are the soul authorized dealers for BMW in India. BMW S 1000RR and BMW R 1200GS are sold by them at Rs. 20 lacs each. The high price means that only limited sales have been recorded in the country as the consumers of India are still looking for a pocket friendly versions of the same. The front wheel of the bike has a 19-inch diameter whereas the rear wheel is 17 inches in size. The telescopic suspension at the front side of the bike along with the mono-shock suspension at the back side makes sure that the rider gets to drive the vehicle with complete stability even at high speed. The disc brakes are powerful enough to protect 200 kg bike and gives it an edge over the rest.
