BMW will enter in two wheeler market

BMW wants to enter in to the Indian two wheeler market with its BMW Motorrad bikes after getting a great success in luxury car market, recently BMW launched its BMW X5 car in India in both petrol and diesel variants priced at Rs. 69.50 lakh and Rs. 52.99 lakh. The expected bike which will available on price at Rs. 10 lakh and above.
BMW Motorrad has bikes in G,F,R and K categories with engine capacity from 450cc to 1300cc. BMW wants to invest up to Rs. 180 crore in Indian market. BMW also wants to launch its X1 by the end of this year.
BMW has achieved the great success in Indian luxury car market and the company is now try to enter in two wheeler market, the company will first try and introduce a selection of the company's motorcycle range in the Indian market.
Andreas Schaaf, BMW India president told that the company wants to bring the BMW bikes in India and a decision shall soon be taken by BMW Motorrad. He also inspired from the Indian two wheeler market and he added that "the company doesn't have any reason to bring their bikes in India. They are a lifestyle product and if they worked in Korea, they could well work here too".
It expected that BMW will first comes with its 1200cc bike as completely built units.
