The wait for the India debut of the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa didn’t seem to end...until now. Just a week after its global debut, select dealerships already started accepting unofficial bookings for a sum ranging between Rs 2 lakh to 5 lakh. Suzuki also began putting out teasers soon after, hinting at an imminent launch. Now, the Japanese bikemaker’s latest teaser on its social media handle finally declares the arrival of the Peregrine Falcon on Indian shores: April 26.
Earlier this month, we reported that Suzuki has been gearing up for the launch of the 2021 Hayabusa at the end of the month. However, with the second wave of the pandemic hitting the country, brands have not only delayed the launch of their products but have also halted production. Suzuki though, isn’t deterred by this and is going ahead with the launch, which is likely to be a digital event.
As per our sources, Suzuki is even considering organising a “Busa Day” to showcase the new bike. That plan, however, is likely to be on hold given the current situation. Deliveries of the first lot of the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa are slated to begin from June and they will be CBU and directly imported from Japan.

The highlight of the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa is the updated electronics package. It is powered by the same 1340cc inline four-cylinder motor and makes 190PS and 150Nm, 7PS and 5Nm less than its predecessor.
The 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa is likely to be priced between Rs 18 lakh to Rs 20 lakh initially. Its natural rival, the Kawasaki ZX-14R is out of action now, but at this price, it will have the BMW S 1000 RR and the Kawasaki Z H2 in its crosshair. However, prices for the Busa might drop if and when Suzuki commences CKD operations eventually.
