The NS200 gets its biggest ever update yet
Bajaj has launched the 2023 iteration of the NS200, which finally gets its biggest ever upgrade, to keep it relevant among new age rivals. It is now priced at Rs 1,47,347 (ex-showroom Delhi), which is a premium of Rs 6,681 over the 2022 model.
The main set of upgrades seen on the 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 include a 33mm inverted fork, and dual-channel ABS that is now offered as standard. Additionally, the petal discs with ByBre callipers have been replaced by 300mm front and 230mm rear (same diameter as before) circular disc brakes with Grimeca callipers.
The 2023 Pulsar NS200 continues to be powered by the same 199cc, liquid-cooled mill producing 24.5PS and 18.5Nm. However, this engine is now BS6 Phase 2 ready. It also retains the same six-speed gearbox as the 2022 model. Also carried forward are the perimeter frame and rear suspension. The claimed mileage of the updated Pulsar NS200 is 37kmpl.
The NS200 rolls on updated 17-inchers which weigh a kilo lighter and come wrapped in MRF Nylogrip Zapper FY2 rubber. The 2023 iteration weighs 158kg, which is 1.5kg lighter (owing to the new front suspension and wheels) than the current model.
The semi-digital instrument console continues to sport the same design. However, it now displays more information like distance to empty, real-time mileage and a gear position indicator. That said, the 2023 Pulsar NS200 continues to miss out on smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.
