Apart from a cleaner motor, there are no cosmetic or feature changes to the motorcycles. Bookings for the Imperiale 400 BS6 have commenced for a token amount of Rs 6,000 and deliveries are scheduled to begin from the first week of August. Here are the updated variant-wise prices:

Apart from the updated motor, the Imperiale 400 BS6 remains cosmetically and mechanically unchanged. It is even available in the same three colours: silver, red and black. The retro motorcycle continues to use a halogen headlamp, bulb-type tail lamp, turn indicators, and a twin-pod semi-digital instrument console.

The updated BS6-compliant 374cc air-cooled and fuel-injected motor continues to deliver the same 21PS and 29Nm as before. However, the peak power now comes 500rpm later and peak torque is now available 1000rpm earlier. It uses the same 5-speed gearbox.
Underpinnings remain unchanged as well. The Imperiale 400 BS6 uses telescopic forks and twin shock absorbers. It gets 19-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels with tube-type tyres. Braking continues to be via a 300mm front disc and 240mm rear disc brake with dual-channel ABS. Even the 205kg kerb weight remains unchanged.
The new motorcycle comes with a host of after-sales benefits like a 3-year unlimited km warranty, five complimentary services for the first two years, pick up and drop service, and 24/7 roadside assistance. The new Benelli Imperiale 400 BS6 competes with other retro motorcycles such as the Jawa BS6 and Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6.
