It has a lovely gruff note to it, something that does sound nice!
JUST IN: We finally have some official information about the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. The company sent us a teaser, showing that 32.2432° N 77.1892° E is where we’ll be riding the bike. Interestingly, these coordinates point to Manali, which is exactly where the Himalayan 411’s first ride event happened nearly half a decade ago.
The teaser also lets us hear how the bike sounds, which is the first time we're getting an official preview of the sound. However, we already had an idea about it from a spy shot. The bike sounds throaty and exactly how we usually expect from single-cylinder motorcycles. That said, it's also not as slow and thumpy as we've heard on the current Royal Enfield Himalayan.

We've seen the Himalayan 450 being tested many times, with the most recent sighting earlier this month. The first official teaser for the bike, though, was released in June this year. The Himalayan 450 will be the first Royal Enfield bike with a liquid-cooled engine, a modern TFT console and a lot more.
The bike’s official ride will be happening towards the end of October this year and we think the bike could be launched at Rider Mania (November 24 to 26) this year. As for its price, we expect it to be around Rs 2.80 lakh (ex-showroom). Once here, it will compete with similar bikes like the spoke wheels version of the KTM 390 Adventure and the upcoming Hero XPulse 400.
