Ultraviolette has launched the new Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 at an introductory starting price of Rs 2,99,000 for the standard variant and Rs 3,99,000 for the Mach 2 Recon variant. Now Ultraviolette has 2 F77 models and 5 different variants. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the prices:

The new F77 Mach 2 comes with a similar design as the previous F77 but now it gets 3 different personalities: Airstrike, Laser and Shadow. Each of the different personalities come with individual colour schemes to match with it.
The two variants of the F77 Mach 2 offer different levels of performance, range and features. In terms of performance, the standard variant comes with a 7.1kWh battery pack and has a range of 211km. In terms of power output the motor produces 27kW or 36.7PS peak power and 90Nm peak torque giving it a top speed of 155kmph. It is able to accelerate from 0-65kmph in 2.9seconds and 0-100kmph in 7.8 seconds.
The Recon variant comes with a 10.3kWh battery pack with a range of 323km range. The motor on this variant produces a peak power output of 30kW or 40.2PS and 100Nm peak torque. The top speed comes to 155kmph and it is able to accelerate from 0-65kmph in 2.8 seconds and 0-100kmph in 7.7 seconds.
Looking at charging times, the standard variant takes 3 hours to charge from 20-80 percent when using a standard charger, whereas the recon variant takes 5 hours. While using the boost charger, the standard variant is able to go from 20-80 percent in 1.5 hours and it takes 2.5 hours on the recon variant. With the Ultraviolette supernova plus 12kW fast charging, the standard variant takes 45 minutes and the recon variant takes 60 minutes to go from 20-80 percent.
In terms of features, the F77 Mach 2 standard variant comes with 3 levels of regen braking, with customers having the option to get the 10 levels that come as standard on the Recon variant. Additionally, the manufacturer is offering 3 levels of traction control on the Recon variant as standard, whereas customers who have the standard variant will have to get it as an optional add-on.

Other features include 3 ride modes: Glide, Combat and Ballistic. Lastly, the bike comes with features like, charge limit, park assist, find my F77 and Deep sleep/vacation mode as standard. But smart tech like Violette AI geofencing/delta watch, lockdown, crash alerts and daily ride analytics will have to be purchased as an optional add-on. Both variants will get the Hill hold feature as standard in the future.
Underpinnings wise, the F77 Mach 2 is built on a steel trellis frame. The bike is suspended on a preload adjustable 41mm inverted fork and preload adjustable monoshock. It rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels with 110-section front and 150-section rear tubeless tyres. Braking duties are handled by a 320mm front and 230mm rear discs with dual-channel ABS.
In terms of rivals, the F77 Mach 2 doesn’t have any natural rivals in the electric bike segment. Customers can look into other petrol powered alternatives around the same price brackets such as the KTM Duke 390, TVS Apache RTR 310 and the Yamaha MT-03.
