In the first phase, the charging stations will be set up in 12 select states, followed by pan-India expansion
You can soon go long-distance touring on the Ultraviolette F77 as the Bengaluru-based manufacturer has partnered with HPCL (Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited) to strengthen its EV charging infrastructure. Ultraviolette in collaboration with HPCL will set up its fast charging stations at key HP petrol pumps across India. This partnership will benefit from HPCL's vast network of retail fuel pumps across the country.
In the first phase, Ultraviolette will set up its fast charging stations in 12 select states, followed by a pan-India expansion. The EV stations will not only be limited to big cities, and national and state highways; the EV maker claims they will also be placed in the many remote locations. As mentioned earlier, this move will ensure the riders can tour with minimal range anxiety. As it is, the Ultraviolette F77 also offers the highest range in an electric bike in India (at 307km, claimed), and is also the most powerful electric bike in India.

Partnering with a petrol pump major is a sound move as such brands already have a widespread network, and piggybacking on such infrastructure should go a long way in minimising range anxiety, and also, by extension, aid in faster adoption of electric bikes and electric scooters. Previously, Honda Two-Wheelers India and Gogoro have also partnered with HPCL to set up their battery swap stations across India. You can read about it here.
