Brixton Motorcycles Bookings Open in India: Crossfire 500X, Crossfire 500XC, Cromwell 1200 And Cromwell 1200X Launch Soon

Austria-based motorcycle brand, Brixton Motorcycles is all set to enter India with two 500cc bikes and two 600cc bikes, namely - the Crossfire 500 X, Crossfire 500 XC, Cromwell 1200, and Cromwell 1200 X. Bookings for these bikes have also started and customers can book their preferred model for just Rs 2,999.

Brixton Motorcycles has partnered up with KAW Veloce Motorcycles Pvt Ltd for its manufacturing and distribution operations in India and has already set up a manufacturing facility in the Kolhapur district of Maharashtra.

Brixton Crossfire 500X & Crossfire 500XC

The Brixton Crossfire 500 will be available in 2 variants in India, Crossfire 500X & Crossfire 500XC. The Brixton Crossfire 500X is a cafe racer. Whereas, the Crossfire 500XC, being a scrambler, is more off-road focused. Both Crossfire 500X and 500XC are equipped with the same 486cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that produces a peak output of 47PS at 8,500rpm and 43Nm at 6,750rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The manufacturer claims both the bikes to have a top speed of 160kmph and promises to deliver a 25kmpl mileage.

Brixton Crossfire 500X & Crossfire 500XC

The Crossfire 500X and 500XC come equipped with a preload-adjustable inverted fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock. Brakes are also the same on both bikes with a 320mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS. Wheel and tyre sizes are where both the bikes differ. The Crossfire 500X is fitted with 17-inch spoke wheels, with 120-section front and 160-section rear road tyres. Whereas the Crossfire 500XC features a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels, which are wrapped with 110-section front and 150-section rear block-pattern tyres.

Brixton Cromwell 1200 & Cromwell 1200 X

The Brixton Cromwell 1200 will also be available in 2 variants in India - Cromwell 1200 and Cromwell 1200 X. The Cromwell 1200 is a neo-retro roadster and the Cromwell 1200 X is its scrambler-style version that comes with a headlight grille, raised handlebar, a ribbed seat, block pattern tyres, and fork gaiters.

Brixton Crossfire 500X & Crossfire 500XC

The Cromwell 1200 and Cromwell 1200 X are powered by a 1,222cc liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine making 83PS at 6,550rpm and 108Nm at 3,100rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Both bikes come with a negatively-lit round LCD instrument console. They get an all-LED lighting setup, a cruise control feature and two riding modes: Eco and Sport.

Both bikes get a preload-adjustable KYB telescopic fork and a preload-adjustable KYM monoshock. They come equipped with 18-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels. The Cromwell 1200 gets tubeless road tyres whereas, the Cromwell 1200 X comes with tubeless block pattern tyres.

Brixton Motorcycles: Expected Price & Launch Date

We expect the Crossfire 500X to be launched somewhere at Rs 6.5 lakh, and the Crossfire 500 XC to be priced slightly higher at around Rs 7 lakh. The bigger Cromwell 1200 is expected to be priced at around Rs 10 lakh mark, whereas the Cromwell 1200X can be priced around Rs 10.5 lakh (all prices ex-showroom). These bikes will be launched in India in November 2024.
