Spy shots and videos of the new BS6 TVS Apache RR 310 have surfaced online giving us a fair idea of its features. So, when will TVS launch the new BS6 avatar of its flagship motorcycle? Well, there’s no official word from the manufacturer, but we expect it to launch in India by next month.
A few months ago, TVS Apache had updated the RR 310 with a new paint scheme and a slipper clutch. This time though, the bike maker is planning to bring a major change to the updated RR 310. The spy shots had revealed that the BS6-compliant RR 310 will get a new all-digital TFT display. Moreover, there are navigation buttons on the left-hand side switchgear, hinting at Bluetooth compatibility. It only makes sense as TVS has already brought Bluetooth connectivity to the Apache RTR 200 4V.
The upcoming Apache RR 310 will be powered by a BS6-compliant motor, which might see a drop in power and torque figures. In the current state of tune, this 312cc motor pumps out 34PS and 27.3Nm, mated to the same 6-speed transmission aided by a slipper clutch. Although the major mechanical parts like suspension and braking hardware will be carried forward from the older model, TVS is likely to equip the updated RR 310 with a new set of tyres instead of the Michelin Pilot Street radials seen on the previous motorcycle.
Considering the number of changes, we expect it to be around Rs 15,000 more expensive. When launched, it will rival the KTM RC 390, which is also on the verge of getting a major update!
