How to win ‘The Centennial’?

Hero Modified Karizma XMR Auction Announced

Apart from this, Hero has also announced the auction of ‘The Centennial’, which is a tribute to the brand’s Co-founder and Chairman Dr Brijmohan Lall Munjal. Limited to 100 units, Hero will auction these bikes to its employees, associates, business partners, and stakeholders. All the money from the auction will go towards the brand's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

More About ‘The Centennial’

‘The Centennial’ was first showcased as the CE001 concept bike at the 2024 Hero World Event. The bike is based on the Hero Karizma XMR and features the same headlight; however, instead of a full fairing. ‘The Centennial’ has a half-fairing, like the old Karizma.

The Centennial has an aggressive design, featuring a carbon-fibre bodywork with black and light grey body panels. It also has an inverted fork which enhances the bike’s overall look. It gets red highlights all around. The fork, handlebar, engine casing, chassis and swingarm are also finished in red.

The bike has a slightly raised single-piece handlebar with bar-end mirrors, and there is also a small smoked flyscreen. It gets a single seat with a carbon fibre seat cowl. One of the highlights is the road-legal slip-on Akrapovic exhaust.

The Centennial is likely to be equipped with the same 210cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine from the Hero Karizma XMR, which produces 25.5PS and 20.4Nm. However, the lightweight components and Akrapovic exhaust should enhance the bike's performance compared to the Karizma.

Underpinnings include a 43mm inverted fork with damping adjustment and a fully adjustable gas-charged monoshock. Braking will be handled by a 300mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc, with dual-channel ABS. The bike rides on 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, wrapped with MRF Zapper-FYM2 tyres. It has a kerb weight of 158kg, making it 5.5kg lighter than the Karizma XMR, which weighs 163.5kg.
