Zongshen 250X Desert Flying Fox costs an equivalent of around Rs 1.57 lakh 

Zongshen Motorcycles has launched the 250X Desert Flying Fox in the Chinese market. The adventure motorcycle is priced at Yuan 12,980 (around Rs 1.57 lakh), and it is available in two colours: Vitality Orange and Youth Green. 

Starting with the design, the bike gets a lean and tall stance. Its fascia mounts a sharp beak and an LED headlight with DRL. 

Moving to the side, you'll see that the ADV gets graphics, extensions on its 12-litre fuel tank, a single-piece seat, underbelly exhaust and an upswept exhaust. 

The motorcycle gets a narrow tail section that mounts an LED taillight and LED turn indicators. 

On the features front, the Zongshen 250X Desert Flying Fox gets a digital instrument cluster that gets a tachometer, speedometer, odometer, tripmeter, gear position-indicator and fuel gauge. 

Powering the ADV is a 249cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that makes 19PS and 18Nm. For reference, the Hero XPulse 200 4V churns out 19.1PS and 17.35Nm from its 199.6cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor. 

The ride of the bike is taken care of by a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. For braking, it employs a 267-/220mm disc setup that is assisted by dual-channel ABS. 

The Zongshen 250X Desert Flying Fox rolls on 21-/18-inch spoke wheels that come wrapped in block pattern tyres. 

In India, if you are looking for an entry-level ADV, the Hero XPulse 200 4V, Benelli TRK251 and the Honda CB200X are a few options that you can consider.
