The beautiful Interceptor 650 has received an aggressive, hoon-friendly makeover, and we absolutely love it!

Royal Enfield’s motorcycles are perfect canvases to transform into works of rolling art that’s only limited by your imagination. In line with the cult bikemaker’s philosophy, its new middleweight, the Interceptor 650, comes with a simple yet elegantly-done design language that leaves a lot of scope for customisation. Now, Bengaluru-based Bulleteer Customs have transformed the Interceptor into a custom brat tracker aptly named the ‘Hooligan 650’. Here are all the juicy details about the mods:

Chopping it up:

  • Chopped front and rear fenders.
  • Black-tinted custom ‘Daymaker’ headlight with a brushed steel headlight rim.
  • Custom Royal Enfield 535cc engine’s piston machined into a housing for the digital speedometer.
  • Custom handle fitted below the top clamp rather than above for a more aggressive riding stance.
  • Premium handlebar leather grips from Trip Machine Company.
  • Custom scrambler-inspired twin stainless steel exhausts with titanium wraps and WWII machine gun shroud-inspired heat shield.
  • Custom diamond-stitched vintage tan single seat.
  • The subframe is chopped and swept upwards.
  • Custom Yamaha RD 350 piston machined into a tail light.

Cooling it down:

  • Custom paint job: One side is black (Interceptor theme) and the other is white (Hooligan theme), bringing out the duality of the motorcycle. Aptly enough, the tank graphics read “Serve and Protect” on one side and “Troublemaker” on the other. Also gets laser-cut monograms on both sides.
  • The ‘Interceptor’ side of the bike has the timing and front sprocket cover powder coated with black paint. On the ‘Hooligan’ side, the clutch cover comes with a brushed metal finish. The two cylinder heads have been buffed and clear coated, and all nuts and bolts get chrome treatment as well.
  • The front brake lever is also fitted with a knuckle duster for an aggressive look.

Keeping the rubber side down and how!

  • Custom inverted front forks.
  • Bybre radial brake calliper up front.
  • Old school saw-tooth 5.00/15 front and rear tyres, custom-made spoke wheels with the rim finished in black and brushed steel.

Bulleteer Customs took two months to finish this build and overall, it is quite well-made! The total cost of this custom job is under wraps as this was commissioned by Royal Enfield itself. But if we were to take a wild guess, it would’ve had surely exceeded the ex-showroom price of the motorcycle. For the uninitiated, the Interceptor 650 costs Rs 2.5 lakh, ex-showroom.
