Available in 2 variants, this bike boasts a charming retro design and impressive range
The Chinese 2-wheeler market has just got a new retro addition, the LATTE 200-6F, courtesy of Dayun Motorcycle. Launched in two variants, the company seems to have nailed the pricing, with the base variant coming in at 8980 Yuan, approximately 1.05 lakh, and the second variant priced around 1.17 lakh. The only difference between these two variants is the color, with the base variant getting a single tone paint scheme, while the top end model gets dual tone paint along with cafe-racer inspired side panels.
While the bike looks somewhat conventional, a few design elements such as the front fender and seat absolutely nail that retro design aesthetic. There’s also an option of adding leather saddle bags to enhance its retro look. Based on the official specifications obtained from Dayun, the LATTE 200-6F is capable of offering an impressive cruising range of 600km, courtesy of a 16L fuel tank and a frugal fuel economy of 40 kmpl. Additionally featured on this bike are LED DRLs integrated with the Dayun logo, digital LCD instrumentation and a combined braking system.
Powering this bike is a 198cc air-cooled engine coupled to a 5 speed gearbox churning out a maximum power of 14.3PS and torque of 15.5 Nm. The company claims the top speed is 120 kmph, which should be more than enough for an entry level retro tourer (and we’re calling it a “retro tourer” thanks to its impressive claimed range).
The bike rides on 110/70 rubber at the front and 130/70 rubber at the rear shod on 17-inch aluminum spoke wheels. Suspension equipment includes an upside-down fork at the front and twin shocks at the rear. The standard handlebar along with round chrome mirrors further compliment the other chrome accents on the bike such as the rear grab rail and lights. While the LATTE 200-6F is available online through the AliBaba website, we do not believe that this bike will ever be launched in India.
