The Delhi Auto Expo has always been one of the most waited and appreciated Auto Events in Asia. People had a lot of expectation from the Auto Expo 2012. The event triggered off with great pomp and show. Numerous national and international brands took part and introduced their concepts and new cars. But, the sad part was the chaos that kept the fans away from it. The mismanagement, unclean surroundings, crowd and commotion were the major turn offs of Auto Expo 2012.
More than 50 global brands participated in the Auto Expo 2012, New Delhi, which started on 5th of January 2012. According to a visitor at the Auto Expo 2012, Reema Gaur, the event is undoubtedly huge and massive. But the management and supervision is just not acceptable. She walked for miles to reach Hall No. 18, but then found out that there was a shortcut too. Reason? Well lack of sign boards and this caused wastage of lot of time and energy.
As per another visitor, Ankit Malhotra who is 24 years old told that bikes are one thing that attracts the most. He wished to visit the Auto Expo 2012 for the same reason. But, when he heard about the lack of organization and management, dropping the plan was the best idea. Even other people dropped the plan to visit Auto Expo 2012, because of the same reason. Lack of management and cleanliness is the major problem here.
Business professionals are also disheartened with such kind of organization at the Auto Expo 2012. The space is unclean and mismanaged. Organizers need to understand that this is an international event now and not an entertainer to keep up with families and kids. Standards need to be raised and that too to a higher level. When compared to other international Auto Expos, such as Tokyo Motor Show, Chicago or Frankfurt Motor Show, one is sure that he or she would not find any mismanagement, chaos or unclean surrounding.
However, to save the grace, Glamour quotient was higher here. On one hand where John Ibrahim promoted Yamaha Ray, whereas Katrina Kaif unveiled the new Audi Q3 and Amitabh Bachchan launched the super car, D C Avanti. Another important launch that took everyone's attention without a celebrity was Ducati Monster 795 launched for just Rs 5.99 lacs.
