The existing V1 e-scooter platform will give birth to more exciting e-scooters in the next two years

Hero Vida, the electric vehicle (EV) division of the world's leading two-wheeler manufacturer, recently revealed an ambitious strategy for expanding its brand during an investor meeting. The company declared its objective to establish 100 additional dealerships across the country by 2024. This strategic move not only aims to strengthen Hero Vida's position in the fiercely competitive e-scooter market but also provides a glimpse into the future products that will emerge from the V1 e-scooter platform.

Alongside the expansion of its dealer network, Hero Vida will invest in developing a broader range of electric scooters, which are expected to launch by Q4 2024. The company plans to gradually introduce various electric scooters based on the V1 platform. Consequently, we can anticipate different Vida e-scooter models catering to diverse preferences, such as sporty options and family-friendly choices.

Currently, the Vida V1 Pro offers a balanced blend of sportiness and practicality for everyday use. However, as an e-scooter, it doesn't excel in either aspect. Therefore, the concept of a sportier Vida model with higher top speeds and more aggressive styling would greatly appeal to enthusiasts. Similarly, envisioning a dedicated family e-scooter from Hero's stable, akin to TVS' iQube, would perfectly complement Hero's widespread appeal in the mass market segment.

Hero Vida's plan to expand its national presence and introduce new electric scooters doesn't come as a surprise. With competitors offering products based on the same platform but at varying prices and with different features, brands are attracting new customers through their doors. It is only logical for Hero to replicate its successful approach with ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) scooters by applying it to the Vida brand as well.
