With the discount, the Vida V1 Plus is now way more affordable than the V1 Pro

Hero has reintroduced the Vida V1 Plus, the smaller battery variant of the Vida V1 electric scooter. It now comes at an ex-showroom Delhi price of Rs 1,45,000 (inc, FAME 2 subsidy). The manufacturer has also offered a massive discount of Rs 30,000, bringing the e-scooter’s effective ex-showroom Delhi price to Rs 1,15,000. The Vida V1 Pro on the other hand comes at an ex-showroom Delhi price of Rs 1,45,900.

Additionally customers who are from the states of Delhi, Chandigarh and Punjab have the additional benefit of being able to save up to Rs 20,000 thanks to state subsidy. Prices across the states will vary and we suggest checking in with your nearest dealer to get a clearer picture.

The Hero Vida V1 Plus is the base variant of the Vida V1 scooter lineup, which also includes the Vida V1 Pro. The only difference between the two comes down to battery capacity, range and features. The Vida V1 Plus comes with a smaller 3.44kWh battery pack and has a claimed range of 100km. The V1 Pro, for perspective, gets a 3.94kWh battery pack and has a claimed range of 110km.

Coming to the powertrain, the V1 Plus is powered by the same Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) as the V1 Pro which makes peak power of 6kW and 25Nm, and continuous power of 3.9kW. The motor is able to give the e-scooter a top speed of 80kmph.

Underpinnings wise, both scooters are the same. They are both built on an underbone frame, suspended on a telescopic fork and a single rear monoshock. Both roll on 12-inch alloy wheels wrapped around in 90-section front and 100-section rear tube tyres. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at the front and rear with combined braking system (CBS) as standard. The main difference is that the V1 Plus comes with a kerb weight of 124kg which is 1kg less than the V1 Pro.

When it comes to features, both feature the same 7-inch full colour TFT display and features smartphone connectivity and related functionalities such as turn-by-turn navigation, anti-theft alarm, geofencing and remote immobilisation.

The main difference is that the Vida V1 Plus only comes with 3 riding modes: Eco, Ride And Sport. The V1 Pro, on the other hand, gets an additional custom mode making the total number of ride modes available to 4.

The Vida V1 Plus goes up against other electric scooters in the market like the Ather 450S, TVS iQube, Ola S1 Air, and Bajaj Chetak.
