The naked receives a bunch of updates inspired by the 2023 390 Duke
We have spotted the upcoming 2023 KTM 200 Duke being tested on the Indian roads. This is the first time that the updated naked has been spotted. Previously, the new 2023 390 Duke was snapped around Pune, and with the new spy shots of the 200 Duke, the new-generation KTMs seem closer to production.
The spy shots show that the upcoming 2023 200 Duke has a lot in common with the new-gen 390 Duke. So, the most evident update here is the new chassis: an updated trellis frame with a bolt-on aluminium subframe similar to that on the 790 Duke. Even the aluminium swingarm is a radical change from the current model.
The 2023 KTM 200 Duke could also feature rebound adjustability for the monoshock, just like we have seen on the 2022 RC 390. Even the new ‘bionic’ wheels and discs are borrowed from the new-generation RC twins. And just like on the RCs, the lighter wheels and braking components should translate to sharper handling due to the reduced gyroscopic force.

Another thing shared with the new 390 Duke is the updated design language, like the aggressive tank extensions and 1290 SuperDuke-inspired headlight. Even the mirrors have been updated, and the new ones look more premium.
Look closer and you’ll notice other changes to the motorcycle. The new-gen 200 Duke features a different instrument console, likely the LCD unit from the 250 Adventure and 2022 RC 200. Furthermore, the switchgear is different, and the bike now seems to feature an integrated starter and kill switch. However, the switchgear on the left side is missing the switch cube, hinting that the console may not be as comprehensive as the 390 Duke.
The 2023 KTM 200 Duke could be priced at Rs 2.25 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), making it around Rs 25,000 more expensive than the current model.
