The updated BS6 motorcycle receives a minor price hike
- After the Pulsar NS and Pulsar 220, the Dominar 400 receives BS6 updates.
- It now costs Rs 1,700 more than the BS4 Dominar 400.
- The Dominar 400 BS6 is expected to be officially launched later this month.
The Bajaj Dominar 400 BS6’s price has been revealed ahead of its official launch. It now costs Rs 1,91,751 (ex-showroom Mumbai). That’s a price hike of Rs 1,749 over its BS4 predecessor. The new motorcycle is expected to reach Bajaj dealerships later this month, while some are already accepting bookings for the BS6 model. Booking amount ranges from Rs 1,500 to Rs 5,000 depending on the dealership.
Bajaj is yet to reveal specifications and details of the BS6 Dominar. Given the minor price hike, we do not expect the Dominar 400 BS6 to get new graphics or feature upgrades. These might come at a later date. Even the current Dominar is quite feature-packed. It gets an LED headlamp, LED tail lamp, and LED turn indicator. Interestingly, the Dominar 400 gets two instrument consoles. A primary one over the headlamp and a second one mounted on the fuel tank.
Also, like the BS6 KTM 390 Duke, whose motor the Dominar 400 shares, power output will most likely remain unchanged. The BS4 Dominar makes 40PS and 35Nm from its liquid-cooled 373cc single cylinder motor.
Even the underpinnings are expected to be carried over. It features a perimeter frame with upside-down front forks and gas charger monoshock. It gets 320mm front disc and 230mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS as standard fitment.
The BS6 Dominar follows on the heels of the BS6 variants of the Pulsar NS200, Pulsar 150, and Pulsar 220, which have already reached dealerships.
