Hero confirms that it isn’t just a limited-series run
Just a few days after its official launch, the Hero XPulse 200 4V Rally Edition has been sold out. The rally-inspired bike was a limited-run model and was set to stay on sale until July 29. However, increased demand for the bike has resulted in all units of the first lot being accounted for with two days to spare, and thus the buying window is being cut short.
Not to be disheartened if you missed out now, Hero has confirmed that the Rally Edition will arrive soon and will continue to be offered in batches. Currently, roughly 1000 units of the XPulse Rally Edition have been produced. Going forward, the production capacity will be increased a bit.
Priced at Rs 1,52,100 (ex-showroom Delhi), the limited edition is Rs 16,122 more expensive than the standard XPulse 200 4V. To put that in perspective, the standard XPulse 200 4V is priced at Rs 1,35,978 (ex-showroom Delhi), and the Rally Kit costs an additional Rs 46,000. So, you get a great deal of purpose-built hardware for a lot less money.
Apart from being draped in the Hero MotoSports Team Rally colours of white and red, this seasoned off-roader also gets a fully adjustable front fork with 250mm travel and a 10-step preload-adjustable rear shock with 220mm wheel travel. Increasing its exclusivity factor is the Indian Dakar Rally star CS Santosh’s signature on the fuel tank.

It rolls on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels wrapped in dual-purpose tyres, and the braking hardware remains the same as the standard model. Even the body dimensions are altered on the new bike, head here for more details.
The only missing bits from the Rally Kit that you will have to fork out more money for are the knobby tyres and the flat bench rally seat.
