The 110cc bike will get several new features to take the fight to the Hero Splendor Plus Xtec better

We’ve come to know from our sources that TVS is all set to launch an upgraded version of the Radeon commuter motorcycle with a bunch of modern-day tech and features to make it a more relevant buy. It is likely to debut later this year during the festive season.

From what we have come to know, the bike could be getting a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity which could display notifications, incoming and missed call alerts, message alerts, tripmeters, real time mileage, range and low fuel indicator. However, we would really appreciate it if TVS offered turn-by-turn navigation as well.

In addition to that, the updated Radeon is also likely to get an LED headlight with the pre-existing LED DRLs. The bike could also get an idle start stop system, which will help with fuel efficiency. Not to mention that it might get fresh new colour schemes.

The upcoming Radeon will be powered by the same 109cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine as the current model, producing 8.19PS and 8.7Nm. It too will be mated to a four-speed gearbox.

With all the updated features, the new Radeon could command around  Rs 3,500 premium over the current-gen disc brake variant which is priced at Rs 74,066 (ex-showroom Delhi). Thanks to these updates, it will have a much better chance against the recently launched and feature-packed Hero Splendor Plus Xtec, which costs Rs 72,900, ex-showroom Delhi. And even with an expected price tag of around Rs 77,000, the upcoming Radeon will offer better value for money considering it gets a larger, more powerful engine, not to mention a 240mm disc brake up front.
