It will most likely be based on the Ola S1 Pro e-scooter
Our sources have revealed that apart from unveiling an electric car, Ola Electric is all set to launch a more affordable electric scooter under the Rs 1 lakh mark this Independence Day, August 15. We had reported earlier that the EV maker was working on a more affordable electric scooter with Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery packs.
The upcoming electric scooter by the EV maker will most likely be based on the company’s flagship model, the Ola S1 Pro. However, to keep the costs in check, it won’t get the fancy features that the S1 Pro currently flaunts, to offer a more simple and utilitarian EV. That said, the e-scooter is likely to be powered by the same Move OS 2.0 operating system.

Apart from that, considering that it will be a more affordable e-scooter, it will likely boast a lesser range and a slower top speed than the S1 Pro, likely due to a smaller battery pack.
This new e-scooter will also help Ola step into the more affordable EV market for price-sensitive buyers, increasing the company’s market share. It will likely go up against budget-friendly e-scooter options like the BGauss D15, TVS iQube Electric standard variant, and the Okinawa Okhi90.
