The bike has crept uncomfortably close to the Rs 1.60 lakh mark now
Just yesterday Bajaj Auto quietly hiked the prices of its Pulsar 125, 150, 180, 220F, NS160 and the NS200. Now, our sources have told us that the Pune-based bikemaker has hiked the prices of the Pulsar RS200 and it is possibly one of the highest increments ever seen across the Pulsar lineup. Here is its new ex-showroom price for Delhi:
- Yamaha MT-15 Prices Hiked, Full Price List Revealed
- Honda Activa 6G, Activa 125, Dio, And Grazia Get Small Price Hikes
- TVS Jupiter, Scooty Pep Plus, Scooty Zest And NTorq BS6 Price Hiked
Like we said, this is the biggest price hike amongst all Pulsar models we’ve seen yet. The increment is similar to some KTM bikes, which have also undergone huge price hikes. What makes matters worse is that no updates have been made to the motorcycle, thus worsening the value-for-money prospect of the RS. Interestingly, after the hike, the RS200's ex-showroom price has become even more than the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V's on-road price. We hope Bajaj gives a valid explanation for this absurd price hike soon.
The Pulsar lineup has become pretty dated now but a brand new lineup is said to be in the works. Recently, our sources confirmed that the Pulsar 250 is coming soon. It is expected to be priced competitively, probably going on to become the most affordable 250cc bike in our market. Read our detailed price analysis of the Pulsar 250 here.
