This involves expanding its dealership network, working on new product launches, and rolling out online retail outlets.

To put things into perspective, the company currently has 350 retail outlets across India. This number is expected to jump to 500 dealerships shortly and double (700 showrooms) in the long run. At present, the company is adding ten dealers every month to their existing count of dealerships. This comes after the electric two-wheeler segment grew by an astounding 141% at 87,000 units in 2018 as opposed to 36,000 units sales in 2017.

Building a strong online presence through e-commerce channels is also on the cards. It will partner with big online players such as Flipkart, Amazon and Paytm, and build its online platform to sell electric vehicles. This will enable Ampere Vehicles to target young customers and millennials.
Ampere Vehicles recently launched the high-speed scooter Zeal and it plans to launch two more scooters in 2019. This follows its acquisition by Greaves Cotton for Rs 120 crore. It has also appointed BVR Subbu as the Chairman to its Board in a bid to drive change and support growth. He has over 40 years of experience in the transportation industry and has also worked with big guns such as Hyundai Motor India Ltd. and Tata Motors.
